From the rocky Burren, Lahinch Beach and the Cliffs of Moher. There is a strong ceilí band tradition from the iconic Kilfenora and Tulla bands. A strong tradition of Uilleann Pipes from the music of Garrett Barry to Willie Clancy. There is also a wide tradition of Concertina, Flute and Tin Whistle.

North Clare is associated with its uncomplicated, rhythmic focus, whereas South Clare shifted towards a more Sliabh Luachra style. East Clare is, like East Galway, known for a slower pace of music. All of this has led Clare to be one of Ireland’s leading traditional music counties and sometimes known as the home of Irish music.
